PRIVACY POLICY

EZPickleballStats ("we," "us," "our"), operated by Platinum Website Builders, a sole proprietorship, provides pickleball statistics, league, tournament, and event management services at ezpickleballstats.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information — email address, password (stored hashed), and your player profile: name, gender, date of birth, height/weight (optional), skill level, and DUPR ID/rating if you provide them.
  • Contact information — your mobile phone number, if you choose to add it to your profile.
  • Activity data — leagues, tournaments, and events you join; match lineups, scores, results, standings, and derived statistics.
  • Payment information — payments (Pro subscriptions, entry fees) are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we retain only Stripe references (customer ID, payment status, last four digits).
  • Technical data — log data, IP address, browser type, and session cookies needed to keep you signed in.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide the Service: run leagues and tournaments, schedule matches, compute standings and statistics.
  • To communicate with you: transactional email (account, billing, event notices) and — only with your explicit opt-in — SMS text messages (see Section 3).
  • To process payments and subscriptions through Stripe.
  • To secure, maintain, and improve the Service.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. SMS / Text Message Program

We do not share your mobile number or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Your mobile information is used solely to send you the messages you opted into.

  • What we send: text notifications about your court assignments and match times for events you participate in.
  • How you opt in: by adding your phone number to your player profile and actively checking the SMS consent box. Consent is never pre-selected and is not a condition of using the Service.
  • Message frequency: varies based on your event participation.
  • Rates: Message and data rates may apply.
  • How you opt out: reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe at any time, or uncheck the consent box in your profile. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at hello@ezpickleballstats.com.

Text messages are delivered through Twilio, our SMS service provider, which processes phone numbers solely to deliver messages on our behalf.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We share data with service providers only as needed to operate the Service, and only for that purpose:

  • Stripe — payment and subscription processing.
  • Twilio — SMS delivery.
  • Amazon SES — transactional email delivery.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — application hosting and file storage.

These providers are bound to use your data only to provide their services to us. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party for marketing.

5. Cookies

We use cookies required for the Service to function: session authentication and security (CSRF protection). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

6. How We Store and Protect Data

Data is stored on AWS infrastructure in the United States. Passwords are hashed, transport is encrypted (HTTPS), and access to production data is limited to those who need it to operate the Service. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information with industry-standard measures.

7. Data Retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. Match results and standings are part of league/tournament records and may persist in aggregate after account deletion. You may request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting hello@ezpickleballstats.com; we will honor the request except where retention is required for legal or accounting purposes.

8. Your Rights and Choices

  • Access, correct, or update your profile information at any time from your account.
  • Opt out of SMS at any time (reply STOP or uncheck the consent box).
  • Request a copy or deletion of your personal data via hello@ezpickleballstats.com.
  • Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional privacy rights; contact us to exercise them.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above, and continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
